Soun Tendou runs a tendo martial arts school with his three daughters: Akane, Nabiki and Kasumi. One day, the life of the sisters turns upside down when his father announced that he has promised to marry the son of a fellow martial artist in the hope of carrying forward the legacy of the family. In addition to their mixed reactions, when the fiancé arrives, the last thing that the Tando family hopes is Ranma Saotome and her father, Genma.
Ranma is training in China with his father until an unfortunate accident changed both of them. Now, when the water touches them, the Ranma turns into a girl and a huge panda in Genma. The Ranma follows ½ Ranma because he tries to get with his new betrayal, the youngest in the tendo sisters, Akane. As the two start participating in the same school, they treat fellow friends and rivals, all of whom have to say something about their engagement.
